A desire for a professional change led her to pursue carpentry, and in 1998, she joined the NYC Carpenters Union, and has worked as carpenter in NYC since 2002. She has two children enrolled in Village Charter School in Trenton, is an active member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Ewing, and is also the treasurer of her neighborhood civic association.
